Chelsea and Al Ahli in simultaneous negotiations for Osimhen and Toney

Chelsea are focused on signing Victor Osimhen, making him their first choice on a shortlist of four players to strengthen their attack. The club has been in direct talks with Osimhen’s camp, aiming to secure the Napoli striker who has been a standout performer in previous seasons. Despite Chelsea’s interest, Osimhen is firm on his salary demands, and negotiations are ongoing as both parties seek an agreement.

While Chelsea works to finalize terms with Osimhen, the club has also opened negotiations for Ivan Toney from Brentford as a potential alternative. The 28-year-old is viewed as a reliable goalscoring option, and the Blues see his transfer fee and wages as fitting within their budget. Toney is considered a solid backup option should the deal for Osimhen fall through.

Meanwhile, Al Ahli is actively pursuing both Osimhen and Toney. The Saudi club has already reached an agreement with Napoli for Osimhen on a €65 million package. Al Ahli’s proposal remains on the table and could be activated if Chelsea fails to secure a deal with the Nigerian striker. The Saudi club is also in advanced talks with Brentford for Toney, having reportedly agreed on a three-year contract with the player worth €60 million.
