Cole Palmer has been named the PFA Young Player of the Year, becoming the third Chelsea player to win the award. He follows Scott Parker’s win in 2004 and Eden Hazard’s in 2014, with each of the three footballers triumphing in an year ending in ‘4’. Despite leading the Premier League in combined goals and assists last season (22 goals and 11 assists in 34 appearances), Palmer was not included in the PFA Team of the Year.

In other news from Stamford Bridge, Armando Broja is close to finalizing his move to the newly promoted Ipswich Town. Broja is completing medical tests today after Chelsea and Ipswich agreed on a deal earlier this week. The move is structured as a loan with an obligation to buy if Ipswich Town avoids relegation, with the total package exceeding £30 million.
Additionally, Chelsea has completed the transfer of Bashir Humphreys to Burnley. The deal includes a £12 million fixed fee, £2.7 million in add-ons, and an undisclosed sell-on clause. All documents have already been signed, making Humphreys a new Burnley player.
