Marseille signs Rulli, Nketiah and Moukoko talks continue

Marseille have confirmed the signing of goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli from Ajax, with the 32 year old Argentine joining on a contract that will keep him at the club until June 2027. This story covers only one of several moves Marseille are making to strengthen their squad under new manager Roberto De Zerbi.

The club transfer activity is far from over, as the club continues to follow several players. The French side has submitted a formal bid to Norwich City for Jonathan Rowe. Talks have already taken place on the player’s side, and now negotiations are advancing between the clubs as Marseille seeks to bring the young talent to Ligue 1.

In addition to Rowe, Marseille has reignited their interest in Arsenal’s Eddie Nketiah. After having a previous bid rejected last week, Marseille has now sent a new offer, with negotiations restarting. Nketiah remains keen on the move, attracted by the ambitious project at OM. Arsenal has shown a willingness to reopen discussions, keeping the possibility of Nketiah’s transfer alive.

Another exciting development for Marseille fans is the potential signing of Youssoufa Moukoko. The highly-rated forward has reportedly chosen Marseille over bids from more than five other European clubs. Moukoko has agreed to personal terms with OM, and while the deal has yet to be officially announced, it appears close to completion.

Marseille’s transfer efforts have already seen success with the addition of Mason Greenwood to their squad earlier this summer. As De Zerbi continues to shape his team, the club’s active presence in the transfer market shows their intent to compete at the highest level in the coming season.
