Chelsea unveil Pedro Neto as Omordion deal collapses

Chelsea unveiled new signing Pedro Neto during half-time at their pre-season friendly match against Inter, which ended in a 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge. Neto, brought in by super agent Jorge Mendes, was presented to fans as the latest addition to the squad.

Meanwhile, the deal to bring Samu Omorodion to Chelsea has collapsed. The move is now officially off, with major issues emerging during the final stages of negotiations. Omorodion is expected to return to Madrid shortly, with the possibility of joining another club in the coming days.

The breakdown of the Omorodion transfer has led to urgent talks between Chelsea and Atletico Madrid. Both clubs are working to ensure that the collapse of this deal does not affect other ongoing negotiations, particularly those involving Conor Gallagher and Julian Alvarez. Both Chelsea and Atletico are clear that these deals must go through despite the setback with Omorodion.

In addition, discussions between Chelsea and Atlético Madrid have now expanded to include Joao Félix. Mendes, who is currently in London, is facilitating these talks. Felix’s potential move to Chelsea is now being considered as part of the negotiations, possibly linked to the Gallagher deal.
