PSG set to announce Neves’ transfer, Parisians nearing deal for Willian Pacho

Paris Saint-Germain are preparing to officially announce the transfer of João Neves from Benfica. Neves, the highly-rated midfielder, has been a key target for PSG this summer. His move to the French capital marks a big step in PSG’s efforts to bolster their squad with young talent. Parisians are now expected to let their Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte to join Manchester United.

Meanwhile, PSG are also working on another important deal. The club is close to sealing the transfer of Ecuadorian centre-back William Pacho from Eintracht Frankfurt. Fabrizio Romano claims that a verbal agreement has been reached on a €40 million fee plus add-ons, and personal terms have also been agreed upon with the player. Pacho is expected to travel to Paris this week for his medical.

William Pacho, who will turn 23 in October, joined Eintracht Frankfurt last summer from Belgian side Antwerp in a €9 million deal. During the 2023/24 season, he made 44 appearances for Eintracht, contributing 2 assists but not scoring any goals. His consistent performances have made him a sought-after player, and PSG are eager to add his defensive prowess to their ranks. Liverpool were also said to have an interest in the Ecuadorian defender, but Parisians have acted quickly and the deal is all but certain.
