Borussia Dortmund director under fire, BVB involved in multiple transfer deals

Borussia Dortmund is navigating a turbulent period, both on and off the pitch. According to BILD, director Sven Mislintat faces the threat of dismissal just three months into his tenure. Reports suggest a growing rift with manager Nuri Sahin, intensifying the club’s internal tension. Mislintat’s recent history includes dismissals from Arsenal and Ajax, adding to the pressure.

In terms of player movements, Youssoufa Moukoko has prioritized a move to Marseille. Negotiations regarding the striker are underway for a loan with a buy option, with more developments expected soon. The move follows Borussia Dortmund’s completion of deals for Pascal Gross from Brighton and Yan Couto from Manchester City last week. Additionally, the club has sold Niclas Fullkrug to West Ham.

Looking ahead, Borussia Dortmund is focusing on reinforcing their squad. They are set to intensify talks for Hoffenheim’s 21-year-old striker Maximilian Beier, who is a top target following Fullkrug’s departure and Moukoko’s imminent loan. Beier is also attracting interest from Aston Villa, Chelsea, and Bayer Leverkusen, but Dortmund leads the race for his signature.

Under new manager Nuri Sahin, Borussia Dortmund’s squad rebuild is in full swing. The club aims to strengthen its lineup amidst internal challenges and significant player turnover, striving to remain competitive in the Bundesliga and beyond. BVB has lost seasoned veterans like Mats Hummels and Marco Reus among others after last season with both club legends leaving for free.
