Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag addressed several pressing topics in a recent interview, providing updates on Jadon Sancho, Casemiro, and Tyrell Malacia.
Regarding Jadon Sancho, Ten Hag emphasized that the issues have been resolved: “We left everything behind us and we said everything about this. We know from each other what the standards are and how we want to work.” When asked if Sancho had apologized, Ten Hag remarked, “I think our statement says everything and it was clear and obvious.”

On Casemiro, Ten Hag praised the Brazilian midfielder’s leadership qualities and his impact on the team: “He is a leader, he can make a difference for us. His future? All the players who are here, if they want to play for us, want to play for the bench, and they have the quality, then I hope they keep contributing to our team.”
Tyrell Malacia’s recovery was also discussed, with Ten Hag providing a timeline for his return: “It’d be possible for Tyrell Malacia to return in two months. He is not that far, but he is now in a progress situation. At a relatively short notice, he can again return into team training and then into team performance in games.”
Meanwhile, Manchester United continues to pursue Bayern Munich players Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui. Agent Rafaela Pimenta has reportedly agreed on a five-year contract, with an option extending until 2030, for both players. Should these transfers be finalized, de Ligt and Mazraoui would join former Ajax teammates Andre Onana, Lisandro Martinez, and Antony at Old Trafford, reuniting with their former manager Erik ten Hag. The Red Devils are also expected to sign PSG’s Uruguayan midfielder Manuel Ugarte with negotiations still under way.
