Barcelona prevails over Manchester City as Guardiola praises Flick’s team and addresses Ederson’s future

FC Barcelona edged out Manchester City in a thrilling encounter during their US Tour, winning 4-1 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular time. The match was first for the Catalan giants on the tour and third for City. Pep Guardiola had high praise for Hansi Flick and his team in his post-game interview.

“I really liked Hansi Flick’s Barca” Guardiola commented. “The positional play of his team is extraordinary, the wingers act as wingers, the midfielders come in from the front, the full-backs attack the space.”

Despite the loss, Guardiola’s focus also turned to the future of his star goalkeeper, Ederson, who is currently considering a move to the Saudi Pro League. “I would like him to decide his future as soon as possible” the Spanish tactician stated. “I just hope he stays with us. He is someone I love. He is a ‘porteirazo’. If he has to leave… with all the pain in my heart, I will understand.”
