Atletico Madrid and Chelsea are now engaged in direct negotiations for Conor Gallagher, aiming to finalize a deal worth around €35-40 million, including add-ons. This move aligns with Atletico’s earlier intentions, as Gallagher has been a top target since May, and the talks are progressing well according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano.

Regarding another, already accomplished deal, Real Sociedad chairman Jokin Aperribay confirmed that Atletico Madrid paid €34.5 million plus €5 million in bonuses for defender Robin Le Normand. Le Normand’s acquisition addresses the gap left by Stefan Savic’s departure to Trabzonspor. Savic, who signed a three-year contract with the Turkish club, had been a stalwart in Atletico’s defence and his exit urged Atleti to find a suitable replacement.
Atletico Madrid is also waiting on a decision from Artem Dovbyk, the Girona forward who has also attracted interest from AS Roma. Dovbyk’s future remains uncertain as both clubs vie for his signature, with Atletico hoping to bolster their attacking options as Joao Felix is expected to leave.
