PSG innitiates talks with Bayern Munich regarding Kimmich’s transfer

Paris Saint-Germain has initiated contact with Bayern Munich to explore the terms for acquiring Joshua Kimmich. The 29-year-old midfielder’s current contract with Bayern expires next summer, raising the possibility that the Bavarian club might lose him for free if a deal isn’t reached soon.

PSG is keen on strengthening their midfield, aiming to recruit Kimmich alongside their top target, Joao Neves. While Bayern Munich is open to a sale, it remains uncertain whether PSG will proceed with the transfer. PSG’s pursuit of Kimmich underscores their intent to bolster their squad as they aim for success in both domestic and European competitions. The next few weeks will be crucial in determining whether Kimmich will join the Parisians or remain with Bayern Munich for the final year of his contract.

It is worth noting that Bayern and PSG are currently involved in a bidding war for Rennes’ starlet Desire Doue, with both clubs rumoured to have presented official bids. In other news, PSG forward Xavi Simons has chosen to re-join RB Leipzig on another season-long loan, continuing his development in the Bundesliga. The French club has consistently expressed its intent to retain Simons and has only permitted him to go on a one-year loan.
