AS Roma announces new stadium plans, secures Soulé, and wants to hijack Dovbyk

AS Roma is nearing an agreement with Juventus to sign Matias Soulé. The two clubs are finalizing the details of the deal, which includes a €26 million fixed fee, €2 million in easy add-ons, €2 million in difficult add-ons, and a 10% future sale percentage. Formal steps to complete the transfer will follow soon.

In addition to securing Soulé, Roma is making a bold move to hijack Artem Dovbyk’s transfer to Atletico Madrid. The club plans to contact Dovbyk’s agents today to discuss terms. The deal between Girona and Atletico Madrid, valued at €40 million, still has unresolved issues regarding the player personal terms. Daniele de Rossi has reached out to Dovbyk to try and persuade him to join Roma.

Yesterday, AS Roma also announced its ambitious plans to build a new stadium. The club unveiled plans to start construction by 2027, describing the proposed stadium as a landmark for Rome and its citizens. The new stadium will enhance match atmospheres by moving away from arenas with running tracks. This project has been met with enthusiasm from fans and observers, promising a significant boost for Serie A.
