Real Madrid announces record income and bids farewell to Nacho

Real Madrid has announced a remarkable achievement for the 2023/24 season, reporting an income of €1.07 billion, excluding transfers. The figure represents a 27% increase compared to the previous season. The club had anticipated reaching the €1 billion mark after completing the renovations of the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, but they have surpassed this milestone even before the stadium is fully operational. With more concerts, events, and shops set to open, Real Madrid’s revenue is expected to grow even further.

In other news, long-time Real Madrid defender Nacho Fernandez bid an emotional farewell to the club, teammates, and fans during a press conference. After signing with Al Qadsiah, Nacho, in tears, expressed his gratitude, saying, “I want you all to remember me as the kid from Real Madrid academy, who gave his all to achieve everything. Thank you.”

Additionally, a historical side note connected to Real Madrid: On this day in 2000, Luis Figo was presented as a Real Madrid player after a shocking €62 million transfer from Barcelona, which was a world-record fee at the time.
