Napoli sales Lindstrom to Everton, negotiations with PSG about Osimhen stall

Everton is set to formally complete the acquisition of Jesper Lindstrom from Napoli today reports the transfer insider Fabrizio Romano. The clubs are in the final stages of exchanging documents, and the move is structured as a loan with a buy option clause valued at approximately €22.5 to €23 million. Lindstrom’s medical tests are scheduled, marking the final step before the deal is officially sealed.

In a related development, Napoli has publicly denied any links with Mario Hermoso. The club’s official statement clarified that the rumors of Hermoso joining as a free agent are unfounded. Hermoso, who spent the past five seasons with Atletico Madrid, is a product of Real Madrid’s youth academy. However, he was not given a chance in the first team and was sold to Espanyol in the summer of 2017. Napoli emphasized that their defensive signings for the season are already complete with the additions of Rafa Marín and Alessandro Buongiorno.

Additionally, negotiations between PSG and Napoli for Victor Osimhen are not advancing after recent talks. PSG rejected the inclusion of Kang-in Lee in the deal and will not trigger the release clause as Napoli wanted. As a result, the deal is not happening under these conditions. PSG is also content with their current strikers, Goncalo Ramos and Randal Kolo Muani.
