Bayern Munich and PSG in bidding war for Rennes starlet Desire Doue

Bayern Munich have made a new formal bid to Rennes for the highly sought-after Désiré Doué. After having their initial offer rejected over a week ago, the Bavarians have now come back with a proposal worth over €50 million, including add-ons. The move shows Bayern’s strong intent to secure the services of the technically gifted winger.

Paris Saint-Germain are also in the race and are expected to submit another bid for Doué. PSG have been actively working on the player side, presenting a clear project to entice the young talent. To accelerate negotiations and convince Doué, PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi has personally spoken with Doué and his family, outlining the Parisian club’s vision and trying to make a decisive impact.

Interestingly, even though Bayern and PSG seem to be leading the race for Doué’s signature, Tottenham might emerge as a dark horse and hijack the deal. The Spurs are in talks to sign the Rennes winger, with the player supposedly already accepting the move and prioritizing a transfer to Spurs over Manchester United, Bayern, and PSG. Doué is reportedly excited by Ange Postecoglou’s project, which has influenced his decision.

Despite Bayern’s eagerness to finalize the deal soon, Doué remains undecided about his future. While he is keen on joining FC Bayern, the final decision is yet to be made, with PSG still very much in the picture.

As the race heats up, the teams are pulling out all the stops to secure Doué’s signature. The young star will weigh his options in the coming days, considering the ambitious projects presented by some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
