Russell Westbrook traded to Utah, set to join Jokic and Murray in Denver

The Los Angeles Clippers are making roster moves, sending Russell Westbrook to the Utah Jazz in a sign-and-trade agreement for guard Kris Dunn reports NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski. Along with Westbrook, the Clippers are including a second-round pick swap and cash. In detail, the Clippers will send the draft rights to Balsa Koprivica, the 57th pick in the 2021 NBA Draft, the right to swap 2030 second-round picks, and $4.3 million to the Jazz.

Westbrook, known for his historic triple-double seasons, is expected to agree on a contract buyout with the Jazz. Such a move will clear the way for him to eventually join the Denver Nuggets after clearing waivers, according to sources. Westbrook’s addition to the Nuggets is anticipated to provide veteran experience to the team’s bench and serve as a potential spot-starter.

Kris Dunn, who had a productive stint with the Jazz, will be joining the Clippers on a three-year deal with a team option in the last year. In his 88 games over two seasons with the Jazz, Dunn averaged 5.4 points, 3.8 assists, 2.9 rebounds, and one steal in 19 minutes per game.

Russell Westbrook, who has averaged a triple-double for multiple seasons and is one of the most dynamic players in NBA history, will bring his veteran presence and experience to the Denver Nuggets, aiming to bolster their bench strength.
