Como and Fabrigas continue with ambitious plan, several deals immenent

Como continue to bolster their squad as they prepare for their upcoming Serie A campaign. The club is set to sign Pau Lopez from Marseille as their new goalkeeper reports Fabrizio Romano. Lopez will join on a loan deal with a mandatory buy clause that will be triggered if Como stay in Serie A next season. The contract will be valid until June 2025, with an option for two additional seasons.

Additionally, Como are confident of securing the final approval from Raphael Varane this week. The proposal for the former Real Madrid and Manchester United defender remains on the table, and it is now up to Varane and his family to make the final decision.

In another positive development for the club, Patrick Cutrone is on the verge of signing a new deal with Como. The former Wolverhampton and AC Milan striker is expected to commit to the club until June 2028, with an agreement imminent.

Como’s ambitious moves are spearheaded by their manager, Cesc Fabregas, the former Barcelona, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Monaco player. Fabregas retired from professional football in the summer of 2023 after spending a season with the club. Initially he took over Como’s youth team and was appointed as Como’s manager in December. He successfully guided the team to a second-place finish in Serie B, securing promotion to Serie A.
