Thiago Motta rebuilds Juventus squad: Di Gregorio and Koopmeiners In, Chiesa Out

Juventus continues to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season with strategic moves. Goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio is expected to sign a contract with Juventus until June 2029 later today. After completing his medical tests, Di Gregorio, voted as the best goalkeeper of the Serie A season, will officially become part of Thiago Motta’s team. Juventus is investing a total package of €20 million, comprising an €18 million fixed fee and €2 million in add-ons.

In addition to securing Di Gregorio, Juventus is making progress in their pursuit of Teun Koopmeiners. The club is increasingly confident about finalizing the deal, with talks between Juventus and the Dutch midfielder’s current club set to commence soon. Juventus is preparing to submit an opening bid in the coming days. Koopmeiners has expressed his desire to join Juve, indicating he is not considering offers from other clubs. Juventus is also in the market for a new winger to complement their midfield reinforcement plans with Koopmeiners.

Meanwhile, Juventus has a plan regarding Federico Chiesa. The club intends to sell the Italian winger this summer, as his contract expires in June 2025. Thiago Motta does not view Chiesa as a key part of his project and is exploring alternative solutions.
