Manchester City and PSG among the top candidats for Joshua Kimmich

The highly rated Bayern Munich and Germany star Joshua Kimmich is at the center of transfer rumours with both Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain keen on acquiring his services. According to the Daily Star, Kimmich wants to reunite with former coach Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, having expressed to his representatives a strong preference for a move to the Premier League champions over any other option.

Meanwhile, Fabrizio Romano has reported that Paris Saint-Germain are also seriously interested in the versatile German international. PSG’s admiration for Kimmich is genuine, and they see a concrete chance to secure his transfer this summer. Kimmich joined Bayern Munich from Stuttgart in 2015 for a fee of €8.5 million. Since then he has made 390 appearances for the club, scoring 42 goals and providing 104 assists. As one of Bayern’s key players, his potential departure would be significant.

Today, Kimmich and the German national team face Spain in a highly anticipated Euro 2024 quarter-final clash. The coming weeks are expected to be decisive for Kimmich’s next career move. Will he reunite with Guardiola at Manchester City, or will PSG manage to bring him to the French capital?
