Napoli finalizes Rafa Marin’s transfer from Real Madrid, nearing deals for Buongiorno and Spinazzola

Napoli is set to bolster its defence with the acquisition of Rafa Marín from Real Madrid. The clubs have agreed on a €12 million transfer fee for the talented defender, with a significant buy-back clause included in the deal. Marín spent the last season on loan at Alaves, where he played in 33 LaLiga matches.

Real Madrid has secured buy-back options for Marin, set at €25 million in 2026 and €35 million in 2027. Interestingly, Napoli has the option to pay an additional €10 million in 2025, which would double the value of the buy-back clause to €50 million in 2026 and €70 million in 2027.

Rafa Marín is expected to complete his medical exams between Monday and Tuesday, with his arrival at Castel Volturno anticipated by July 9. Additionally, Napoli has reached an agreement with Torino for Alessandro Buongiorno. While the club-to-club terms are settled, negotiations are ongoing regarding the player’s contract details and release clause.

In another move, Napoli is in advanced talks to secure Leonardo Spinazzola. The negotiations focus on a two-year contract with an option for a third year, as requested by Spinazzola. The player has agreed to a reduced salary of €2.5 million, and discussions are expected to conclude soon.
