Stefano Pioli signs 3-year deal as new Al Ittihad manager

Al Ittihad has officially announced the signing of Stefano Pioli as their new manager on a three-year deal. The Saudi club is entering a new ambitious era with Pioli at the helm, a former Serie A winner with AC Milan. The club’s management believes Pioli is the perfect choice to lead their new project and bring success to the team. The club’s previous manager, Marcelo Gallardo, was released yesterday on 2nd July, and Al Ittihad swiftly moved to replace him with Pioli.

Pioli’s tenure at AC Milan was marked by impressive numbers across all tournaments. He managed 239 matches, securing 132 wins, 55 draws, and 52 losses. Under his guidance, Milan scored 434 goals and conceded 278. Despite winning only one Italian title, Pioli’s leadership and tactical acumen were evident throughout his stint with the Rossoneri. Last season, Pioli led them to a second-place finish in Serie A. However, the team ended the campaign 19 points behind the champions and cross-town rivals Inter.

Al Ittihad boasts a star-studded squad that includes Ballon d’Or winner Karim Benzema, N’Golo Kante, and Fabinho, among other notable players who have made their names in Europe.
