Arda Güler joins Rooney and Ronaldo as the only teenagers to score and assist in a single European Championship

Arda Güler has become the third teenager to both score and assist in the same edition of the UEFA European Championship, joining the elite company of Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo, who achieved this feat at EURO 2004. Güler’s remarkable performances have been key for Turkiye in the ongoing tournament.

In Turkiye’s opening game, Güler scored a crucial goal to give his team a 2-1 lead against Georgia, becoming the youngest player to get his name on the scoresheet in Euros history. Yesterday, in the match against Austria, the youngster continued to impress by providing a perfect assist to Merih Demiral in the 59th minute, delivering a pinpoint cross from a corner kick.

Güler’s contributions have been instrumental in Turkiye’s journey to the quarter-finals, where they will face the Netherlands at the Olympiastadion in Berlin on Saturday. The young star has the opportunity to further enhance his personal statistics and help his team advance in the tournament.
