Tottenham signs teenager Archie Gray from Leeds

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed the signing of Archie Gray on a six-year deal, with Joe Rodon moving to Leeds United as part of the transfer. Spurs have invested £40 million in acquiring one of England’s brightest young talents, born in 2006, while Leeds United will pay £10 million for Rodon. The teenager will don the number 14 shirt at Tottenham.

Archie Gray made his senior debut for Leeds in the opening match of the 2023/24 Championship season against Cardiff City at just 17 years of age. The academy graduate spent 11 years with the club, before making his move to the Premier League side Tottenham.

Gray explained his decision to join Spurs, stating, “It’s a massive project under Ange and it’s something I want to be part of. I’m a massive Celtic fan, so I love Ange. My whole family loves him. He’s a massive factor!”

Last season, Gray featured in 52 matches across all competitions for Leeds, although he did not score any goals and provided two assists. He has also represented England’s U21 team on two occasions so far.
