Mikautadze has been a revelation at Euro 2024, helping Georgia advance past the group stage in their first-ever appearance at the tournament. The striker has made history by scoring in each of Georgia’s three group games, joining an elite group of players who have achieved this feat, including Michel Platini, Hristo Stoichkov, Alan Shearer, Ruud Van Nistelrooy, Savo Milosevic, Milos Baros, Gareth Bale, and Cristiano Ronaldo. His three goals make him the leading scorer at Euro 2024, and he has also contributed an assist.
During the 2023/24 Ligue 1 season, Mikautadze demonstrated his scoring prowess with 13 goals in 20 appearances for Metz. His impressive performance has drawn attention from several clubs, but Monaco is moving quickly to secure the deal.
Monaco’s proactive approach aims to outpace other interested clubs and finalize Mikautadze’s transfer before the end of the Euro 2024. The Georgian striker’s addition could significantly bolster Monaco’s attacking options for the upcoming Ligue 1 season.
