The Red Devils have already made contact with PSG to discuss several players, including Ugarte. Although no formal bid has been submitted yet, rumours suggest that United have placed an improved bid of £42 million for the 23-year-old. Personal terms are reportedly agreed upon, with Ugarte set to sign a five-year contract worth £120,000 a week.
Ugarte joined PSG from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2023 for a fee of €60 million. In his debut season with the French giants, the defensive midfielder made 37 appearances, contributing three assists but failing to find the back of the net.
As negotiations progress, it remains to be seen if PSG will accept Manchester United’s offer. Ugarte’s potential move to Old Trafford would add significant depth to United’s midfield, reinforcing their squad ahead of the new Premier League campaign.
