Greek side Olympiacos is the new Europa Conference League winner, after a slender 1-0 victory against Fiorentina. Olympiacos had the advantage of playing on home soil, as their domestic rival AEK’s Opap Arena in Athens was hosting the final game in the tournament. Fiorentina were the more aggresive team, having 17 attempts on goal, compared to Olympiacos’ 6, but both sides ended the meeting with 4 shots on target. The regular 90 minutes of the clash offered no goals, and it had to enter extra-time. There, Ayoub El Kaabi’s strike in the 116th minute proved decisive, leaving Fiorentina with no time to reply.
