Chelsea and Pochettino part ways

Mauricio Pochettino is leaving Chelsea with immediate effect. The London club and the manager have already agreed on the terms and Chelsea begin the search for new coach. The board of directors already expressed its gratitute towards the Argentinian specialist, while he also thanked the management and proudly stated that the team is now in good state to move forward in the Premier League and in Europe for years to come. Chelsea finished in 6th position in the 2023/24 season final standings, qualifying for the European tournaments despite a poor start to the campaign and injuries to key players.

Pochettino stepped in at Chelsea in July of last summer. He led the team in 51 matches across all tournaments, recording 27 victories, 10 draws, and 14 defeats. The club reached the Carabao Cup final, where Pochettino and his players lost 1:0 to Liverpool.
