AC Milan’s CEO reveals Rafael Leao’s release clause and provides update on the future of key players

Giorgio Furlani, the CEO of Milan, has addressed recent speculations surrounding the futures of several Rossoneri players. Amid rumors regarding goalkeeper Mike Maignan and defender Theo Hernandez, Furlani stated, ‘They are both under contract until June 2026.’ Such a statement comes as reassurance to Milan fans, demonstrating the club’s determination to keep its most valuable assets.

Furlani doubled down on Milan’s desire to keep the French duo at the club, saying, ‘Players are always the ones who decide their future. We hope for Theo and Maignan to stay with us as long as possible.’ Milan’s CEO also shed light on other contract details within the Rossoneri squad. Regarding Rafael Leao, the most marketable Rossoneri player with a market value of 90 million according to Transfermarkt, Furlani revealed, ‘Rafael Leao’s contract includes a €175m release clause.’ However, he affirmed Leao’s commitment to the club, adding, ‘But even before that, I can confirm that Rafa’s desire is to stay and continue at AC Milan.’

Furlani clarified the situation surrounding the 16-year-old promising talent Francesco Camarda, addressing other rumors. He expressed Milan’s desire for the player to remain at the club, remarking, ‘We’d like Francesco Camarda to stay with us. I’m sure he wants to stay.’ Furlani also dismissed rumors of a €10m commission in the youngster’s contract, labeling them as ‘completely fake.’
