Vitor Roque determined to succeed at Barcelona amid limited game time

Vitor Roque’s future at Barcelona remains firm despite limited minutes on the pitch, with his agent, André Cury, emphasizing the player’s commitment. Cury clarified to QueThiJugues: “There’s a long line of clubs ready to put down €50m for Vitor right now. But he’s not leaving, even on loan. He’s determined to make it at Barça.”

Further quashing rumors of a potential move, Cury told QueThiJugues, “Vitor is overjoyed at Barça, and a loan is off the table. Physically and mentally, he’s in prime condition, just waiting for a chance to prove himself more on the field. Xavi really believes in him.”

The 19-year-old Brazilian made the switch to Barca in January from Athletico Paranaense in a €40 million deal. Across all competitions he has appeared 11 times for the Catalan giants, scoring twice. Curiously, in his 5th game for Barca, against Alaves on February 3rd, Roque came off the bench in the 59th minute, netted a goal four minutes later, and was sent off with a red card another nine minutes after that.

Despite these contributions, Roque has amassed just 239 minutes of action in 11 games, underscoring his struggle for regular playing time at Barcelona.
