Bayern Munich is at a critical moment of the season, with several of its star players and the team’s coaching direction under the microscope. Max Eberl, Bayern’s football director, recently highlighted the club’s stance on player contracts and its ambitions moving forward.
He stressed the importance of securing the future of key players, saying, “No club wants to lose players for free if they cannot agree on a contract extension.” This statement comes as Alphonso Davies, Leroy Sané, Joshua Kimmich, Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer, and Sven Ulreich all have contracts set to expire in 2025. The director’s message is clear: sign a new deal, or you will be sold this summer.

Bayern’s main focus is on youth, with Eberl confirming, “Jamal Musiala’s contract extension is a big goal for the club; it’s crucial.” The attacking midfielder, just 21 years old, is already seen as an integral part of Bayern’s squad. 3 months before Euro 2024, Musiala is the German player with the highest market value according to Transfermarkt, standing at 110 million euros and the Bavarian giants will do anything within their power to ensure he stays in Munich.
