D’Angelo Russell ties Lakers’ franchise record in blow-out win over Atlanta

Last night in the NBA, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 135-105 on their home court. All of the Lakers’ starting five finished the game with double digits in points, with LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and D’Angelo Russell ending the game with double-doubles.

The victory marked a special achievement for Russell, as the point guard has now tied Nick Van Exel’s franchise record for 183 3-pointers in a regular season. Russell, who scored 27 points and provided 10 assists while shooting 6-of-10 from beyond the arc, will surely cement his place in the team’s history, especially since there are still 13 regular season games left to play.

Los Angeles Lakers currently hold the 9th spot in the Western Conference standings with a record of 37 wins and 32 losses. D’Lo will have the opportunity to break the record in the Lakers’ next game, scheduled for March 23 at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A. against the Philadelphia 76ers.
