Bayern signed Mathys Tel in the summer of 2022. The young French forward joined from Rennes, with the deal reported to be around €20 million plus add-ons, hoping he would become a key player for them.
In the Champions League game against Lazio last night, which Bayern won 3:0, Tel came in as a substitute for Thomas Muller in the 78th minute. By handing him this new improved deal, Bayern is making sure Tel stays with them for a long time, aiming to develop his skills even further.
