Simone Inzaghi affirms commitment to Inter amids future speculations

Simone Inzaghi, the manager of Inter, has dismissed rumors regarding his future outside of the club. In the post-match of his team’s comprehensive 4-0 league win over Atalanta, the Italian specialist stated that he is very happy at Inter. The Nerazzurri are performing very strongly this season and are fighting for all three competitions. Inter has already won the Italian Super Cup trophy, while in Serie A, they enjoy a 12-point gap over 2nd-place Juventus. In the Coppa Italia, the team lost the 1st leg 2-1 to Bologna, but there is a return leg, as is the case in the Champions League, where Inter will visit Atletico Madrid having a one-goal lead from the first meeting.

Inzaghi also added that there is no issue signing a new contract. He reiterated his happiness with the current board and the team’s squad. Inter’s CEO Marotta also confirmed the desire from the club to renew Inzaghi’s contract saying: “We love Simone and obviously we want to continue with him, we will open negotiations at the right moment. His deal expires in 2025 but he’s happy here and we’re very happy with Simone’s job”.
