Paul Pogba handed 4 year ban for doping

The 2018 World Cup winner with France Paul Pogba has been banned from playing football for a 4 year period. In a decision that has sent shockwaves through the football world, Paul Pogba, who turns 31 on 15th of March, faces a severe setback with a four-year suspension from the sport. The ban comes as a result of Pogba’s violation of football’s anti-doping regulations, specifically for the use of a performance-enhancing drug.

Throughout his career, Pogba has recorded impressive numbers that most players can only dream of achieving. His stats so far show 514 games and 84 goals. The French midfielder has also lifted 10 trophies on a club level, including domestic league titles and national cups during his stints with Juventus and Manchester United. On the international stage, Pogba was an integral part of France’s 2018 World Cup winning squad and also contributed to their Nations League triumph.

The French midfielder’s individual accolades include being named the 2013 Golden Boy, earning the title of the 2014 World Cup Young Player of the Tournament. Moreover, his consistent performances had him included in the 2015 FIFPro World 11.
