Real Madrid remains keen on Alphonso Davies

Alphonso Davies, the 23-year-old Canadian currently playing for Bayern Munich, remains a key target for Real Madrid as the club looks ahead to the summer of 2024. While a move didn’t materialize in the January window, the Spanish giant’s interest in securing the left back’s services for the next season remains, with the club closely monitoring his situation.

Real Madrid’s pursuit of Davies is not without its complexities and will be an easy one to accomplish. Much depends on Bayern’s stance, with the club’s valuation of the player expected to play a crucial role in negotiations. Los Blancos have identified Davies as a preferred target for the left side of their defense, signaling a clear intention to have him as part of squad, assuming financial terms with Bayern can be agreed upon.

Bayern Munich has set a clear deadline: either Davies agrees to a new contract by June or he will be made available for transfer. From Los Blancos’ perspective, there are no obstacles regarding Davies’ personal terms.

Alphonso Davies professional career began with the Vancouver Whitecaps in MLS in 2016 and in January of 2019 Bayern Munich bought him for a €14 million fee. The 23-year old Canadian has amassed 180 games for Bayern since joining the team with a return of 9 goals and 28 assists.
