Inter secure Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski for next season

It has been a positive few days for last season’s Champions League finalist, Inter. The Nerazzurri registered a thrilling come-from-behind 4-2 win over Roma on Sunday, which, coupled with Juventus’ home loss to Udinese, saw Inter’s lead at the top of Serie A extended to 7 points. On top of that, the club has arranged the transfers of Mehdi Taremi and Piotr Zielinski from Porto and Napoli, respectively, both set to join in the summer for free.

Zielinski has been part of Napoli since the summer of 2016 and has registered 356 matches for the club, in which he has scored 50 goals and provided 33 assists. The Pole operates mainly in the middle of the field and will fit nicely into Simone Inzaghi’s 3-5-2 system. On the other hand, Taremi, who plays as a striker, will act as cover for Marcus Thuram, who is enjoying a great first season, since two of Inter’s forwards in the faces of Marko Arnautovic and Alexis Sanchez are failing to earn the trust of the manager.
