The deal between Nottingham Forest and RB Leipzig for the potential signing of Peter Gulasci will not materialize according to Fabrizio Romano. The Premier League club is in desperate to sign a new goalie for the remainder of the 2023/24 season, as Odysseas Vlachodimos is clearly not fulfilling the expectations. He arrived at the club from Benfica in the beginning of the current campaign and started in only six meetings across all tournaments, but after conceding 16 goals and keeping just one clean sheet, the Greek goalkeeper has obviously lost his place in Nottigham’s starting XI. The team’s manager Nuno Espirito Santo took the reigns in late December, but 40 days into his Nottingham career he has come to the conclusion that the team will do better with a new goalie.
🚨🌳 Nottingham Forest are still working to sign new goalkeeper in the final days of the window, as revealed last week.

Nottingham Forest play Arsenal later today and it will be interesting to see who Nuno Espirito Santo will preffer to start in goal. Vlachodimos’ colleague Matt Turner joined Nottingham from Arsenal in the summer of 2023/24 and so far has played in a total of 18 matches in all tournaments, where he has kept 3 clean sheets and has conceded 27 goals.
