Kevin Durant becomes the 10th player in NBA history to reach 28,000 points

Phoenix Suns lost 98:113 to the Orlando Magic on Sunday night in Florida. Just like in the Suns’ previous game where he scored 62 points in a loss to Indiana, Devin Booker stood above his teammates and dropped a 44-point masterpiece against the Magic but once again it was not enough for the win. Even though Phoenix’ other superstar Kevin Durant ended the game with a poor for his standarts 15 points, he recorded a historical achievement, becoming only the 10th player in NBA’s history to reach 28,000 points.

On top of that, Durant needed only 1,025 game to get to that figure, making him the 4th fastest player to reach the milestone, surpassing Lebron James, who had played in 1,033 games before hitting 28,000 points.

Durant’s team Phoenix Suns is currently on a streak of two back-to-back defeats and sits in 6th position in the Western Conference standings with a balance of 26-20. In their next game the Suns will visit the Miami Heat on January 29th.
