The Belgian top talent Arthur Vermeeren will move to Atletico Madrid in the coming days reports Fabrizio Romano. Anterp rejected an intial €15 million bid last week, but the Spanish team has returned with an improved €25 million offer and now the transfer is all but signed. Still at 18 years of age, Vermeeren has already appeared over 60 times with Antwerp’s shirt and even captained the team in the Champions League against Porto this season. In the past, many European top clubs have scouted the talented midfielder with Barcelona reportedly being particularly impressed by Vermeeren’s performances against them. In December in a Champions League match the midfielder got his name on the scoresheet in a shocking 3:2 Antwerp victory.
