Romanian defender Radu Dragusin is set to make a €30 million move to Tottenham, as reported by Fabrizio Romano. Both parties have been engaged in negotiations for several weeks and have now finalized all the details. The deal appeared to be a done deal for Dragosin’s transfer until Bayern Munich unexpectedly entered the discussions yesterday, submitting a surprising bid that was swiftly accepted by Genoa. A Bayern director even presented a wage offer to the defender and outlined the club’s future project. This bold move by the Germans prompted Tottenham to offer improved personal terms, and they wasted no time in doing so. The Spurs will send Jed Spence to Genoa on a six month loan as part of the deal.

Dragusin has been with Genoa for a season and a half, initially joining from Juventus on a year-long loan in the summer of 2022 before making the transfer permanent last summer. In the current campaign, he has participated in 22 matches across all tournaments, contributing with 2 goals and 1 assist. Genoa is poised to make a substantial profit of €24.5 million, considering they acquired the defender for as little as €5.5 million last July.
