Napoli extend winless streak to four games with a heavy defeat to Torino

Napoli suffered a heavy 3:0 loss when visiting Torino for a match of the 19th round in Serie A on Sunday. Walter Mazzari’s team has now gone four straight meetings without a win, recording three defeats and a draw, but what is even more concerning is the fact that Napoli has not scored a single goal in any of these games. The team will now have to cope without Serie A’s top goalscorer from the previous season, as Victor Osimhen has departed to participate in the African Cup of Nations.

In addition to the team’s attacking struggles, the defensive department is also falling short of the desired level, with Napoli managing only two clean sheets in the last eight matches. Their new signing Pasquale Mazzocchi had a forgettable debut. He came on as a substitute immediately after the half-time break but was shown a straight red card just 4 minutes later.
