Manchester United secured a much-needed victory, staging a come-from-behind 3-2 win against Aston Villa on Tuesday. The young Argentine talent, Alejandro Garnacho netted the first two goals for United, while Rasmus Hojlund sealed the victory with his debut Premier League goal in the 82nd minute, securing three crucial points for the Red Devils.
Only two players have created 100+ chances in the Premier League in a calendar year since records began in 2004/05:

Bruno Fernandes who led Manchester United with the captain’s armbrand that night recorded an impressive achievement. The Portuguese playmaker has now created 100 scoring chances during the calendar year – a milestone previously matched only by Mesut Ozil. In 2015, from January to December the the German playmaker created 104 chances.
Manchester United face Nottingham Forest on 30th of December but Ferandes won’t have the oppurtunity to equal or better Ozil’s accomplishment. The Red Devils’ midfielder received a yellow card in the game agaist Aston Villa which was his 5th for the season and results in a one-match suspension.
The victory will reduce the pressure on Eric Ten Hag for a couple of days at least, as the Dutch manager has come under heavy criticism after a series of poor results lately. On another note, Manchester United fans are highly optimistic after the team’s new minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe publicly announced his plans to invest $300 million in an attempt to revive the club’s fortunes.
